Maggie returns home to celebrate the New Year with Bianca, only to find she and Lena are headed to The Valley Inn. Desperate not to be a third wheel, Maggie lies that she, too, has a date for the evening. Jamie conveniently shows up, forcing Maggie into a false relationship with him and they all end up at the party. Jamie and Maggie connect as both are in impossible situations with unavailable women.

An explosion at BAM’s place sends Bianca and Kendall to the hospital. Lena and Maggie heard of the news on the radio an rush there to find Bianca. They start arguing and placing blame on each other. Maggie lays into Lena and then wants to know if she really loves Bianca, then she will give her the space she needs. Lena confesses to Maggie that she tried to kill herself when she found out Bianca was having an abortion. Meanwhile, after Babe found Bianca nearly unconscious at the beach (after Bianca wandered from the hospital to avoid Erica) she brought her to Stuarts house. Later, Lena and Maggie show up.

Jamie takes Maggie to a secluded area to get away from Pine Valley for a while. After a failed attempt at romance, he teaches her how to drive his manual Jeep.

Maggie and Bianca talk about Lena, then Bianca spills a drink on her shirt, when she takes it off she realizes how much shes showing and Maggie tells her she looks beautiful then dashes off to student union. While in the SU she flashes back, then Erica arrives to question her about Bianca.
